More About NeuroCom International, Inc.
Founded in 1984, NeuroCom International, Inc. is the world leader in the development of computerized tools for the assessment and rehabilitation of balance and mobility disorders. This leadership is maintained through a commitment to products with strong scientific/clinical justification, the best product support in the industry, and quality applications, educational, and business support.
Dr. Lewis Nashner, Sc.D., through cooperative research programs conducted with colleagues at a number of academic institutions (MIT, OHSU, etc.), developed the concepts and technology that are the basis for NeuroCom's products. Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP), the EquiTest® system, was developed initially with grant support from NASA to evaluate the effects of space flight on vestibular function and balance control in astronauts, and, with later support from the National Institute of Health, to study the effects of disease on balance and mobility functions.
Today, NeuroCom Balance Manager® systems are used around the world in a broad spectrum of medical disciplines including otolaryngology, neurology, physiatry, orthopedics/sports medicine, geriatrics, and physical rehabilitation and are used in the management strategies of a wide range of acute and chronic disorders.
NeuroCom has over 2,000 systems in place worldwide. Contact NeuroCom to learn about a successful balance program near you.
